Vegan Ferrero-like Raffaelo
If you’re a candy lover like me, I’m sure your vegan journey let you type “Which candy is vegan?” into your trusted search engine. Google will tell you:
- 1) Twizzlers.
- 2) Hubba Bubba Chewing Gum.
- 3) Cracker Jacks, Original Recipe.
- 4) Jolly Ranchers, All Standard Flavors.
- 5) Mamba Fruit Chews.
- 6) Sour Patch Kids.
- 7) Swedish Fish.
- 8) Skittles.
In case you’re missing Ferrero’s Raffelos on the list, it’s because they aren’t vegan. The truffle comprises a spherical wafer which is filled with a white milk cream and with the lactose goes the suitability for a vegan diet.
But that’s not really bad news, because you can whip up your very own Vegan Rafaellos in just 10 minutes.
If you’re planning to feed a baby with these balls, just skip the sweetner and you’re good to go. While such Baby Rafaellos are perfect for these little chubby fingers, eating them is a bit of a messy undertaking for babies, toddlers and adults alike. Coconut flakes will fall of, just like the ones that the commercial Rafaellos are coated in.
