The classic ABC- juice is the right thing when flu season is around the corner. Luckily, that isn’t the case 365 days a year. So, occasionally juices are allowed to contain ingredients that are already delicious on their own. Ingredients that are not only carrots…

I’m feeling super Berlin today. That’s why things are getting very hipster over here. Bring it on.
Hubby has been treating me with a foamy soy milk with a tiny bit of coffee for lots and lots of mornings in a row. I never thought one could ever get tired of it, but it indeed happened to me.
This Magic Matcha Coffee Alternative recipe requires very little equipment:
Depending on where you live, you might not find the following ingredients readily available at your local store. I recommend Amazon for the following ingredients:

Matcha is a great alternative to coffee. The best thing is you don't need to brew it. All you need is a microwave and a milk foamer or a bamboo whisk (if you're a matcha pro).
1cupcoconut rice milk blendsub: ½ cup coconut milk and ½ cup rice milk
1¼tsp matcha powder
1tbsphot water
1tbspcoconut butter
Instructions
Add matcha powder to your serving mug along with hot water and coconut butter.
Use a bamboo whisk if you have one or a milk foamer to whisk until completely dissolved.Bamboo whisks are gentle on the matcha and also help it dissolve more completely. So if you like matcha, I recommend investing!
Once the matcha is completely dissolved, heat your coconut and rice milk, e.g. in the microwave.
Pour dairy-free milk blend into your mug – barista art optional. Best enjoyed when freshly served.

Yes, it’s this time of the year again! Time to elaborate on what costume to put on this year, creepy or cartoon, trunk or treat, trick or treat, scary or silly decoration, to invite friends over, go to someone else’s potluck or none of it just burying your head under the sheets.
Whatever you decide, some food needs to keep you going. And I kid you not – if you’re a vegan, you will want to eat vegan food on Halloween as well.
Here is a selection of a few of my recipes that can be made Halloween-suitable without much effort thanks to their
creepy color
texture
versatility
Melted Hulk
Bright green from peas and mint makes an ideal “Melted Hulk” like I prefer to call it:
If your guests don’t really see a melted Hulk here, why not putting melted-Hulk-mint-pea-dip on rice crackers and make it a little more alive such as this creative mind from Keeping the Peas.
Frankenstein Oats
I got to admit, I never really understood why is Frankenstein’s monster green. His key features, a squared head, an elongated forehead, stitches on his face, bolts in his neck, and opaque green skin are seen in every of the movies. Funny enough, most of these features are nowhere to be seen in Mary Shelley’s original Frankenstein. The book rarely describes the shape of the monster’s head and remains silent as to bolts or stitch placement– such embellishments are nothing more than the product of later creative interpretation– but the monster’s color is explicitly stated. And guess what – it’s not green. But yellow. Did you know?
I hope this little literature and filmology lesson makes for a good chat with any Frankensteins you run into. Make sure to fill up on a healthy breakfast. Monsters watch their diet too, you know.
Even if you can’t attend any Halloween party, you can still have on for yourself. Simply paint the jar in which you serve your Frankenstein Oats just like Healthy Little Foodies do in their post here.
Carrot Cake Snails
Depending on where you live, you might not find a snail on your plate scary at all. France, Spain, Italy, Portugal eat what is commonly known as garden snail or vineyard snail and in North Africa like Morocco and Algeria serve Giant African Snail. However, if the only connection you have with snails and food is snails eating your tomatoes in the garden, these Carrot Cake Snails might be right for you.
Put 2 pairs of tentacles with eyes on these Carrot Cake Balls and you’re good to go. Check Pinterest for some inspiration.
Dracula’s Honor Cocktail
Dracula is not exactly a smoothie-kind-of-guy. The story goes that Dracula attempts to move from Transylvania to England so that he may find new blood and spread the undead curse. Nevertheless, let’s make a toast and honor. Follow the recipe stated below and add in vodka as you please. Unless you’re attending a kids’ Halloween party and had to dress up as some grapes because creepy isn’t allowed.
