Kitchen Logistics

There is tons of videos out there that help to make your kitchen more organized, less messy and save lots of spacious. Here is a few of ny favorite hacks:

  • Freezer organization can be hard. Between veggies, fruit and make-ahead meals, space is limited in there. Up your freezer organization game by transferring your ready freezer meals to a freezer-friendly plastic bag and lay them out flat on a cookie sheet. Use a rolling pin (or wine bottle) carefully squeezing the air out of the bag. Freeze until solid, then stack away (e.g. in an old CD rack or a magazine holder). If leakage for soups and stews worries you, double up the bags to avoid potential messes.
  • Curtain rods can do be used for much more than just curtains. You can use them to organize your
    • pots’ lids (see here: Instructables) or big clippers to clip light-weight plastic packages such as the ones from baking supplies or spices.
    • can/glass jar supply of legumes, crushed tomato and other canned food. Adjust the shelfs inside your cabinet to have slanted shelves. Place the curtain rod at the end to prevent the cans from rolling out.
